Three Maudies – good

Chef's Bistro and GrillThis is a place one wants to see succeed, but it will be an uphill battle. They are in an old fast food restaurant that changes hands on a continuous basis. It is in an obscure and not great area for a restaurant of this kind. I do hope they can make it, staff is very friendly and are trying hard. The decor is horrible, but the bottom line is always the food.

The food I and my dining partners have had has been pretty good. Not great,

Peanut Noodles

but good, some better than others. Their salads are like most Asian places, iceburg lettuce and ginger dressing. Just don’t get it. We have had a variety of things. The Thai peanut noodles are very good. The miso soup is excellent.

We tried the Pho and weren’t impressed. I have to admit I am not a Pho expert, so it may just be we didn’t care for the taste of the meatballs in this one. The Other things we tried were all pretty good, including a specialty sushi roll and some Chinese dishes.

I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try, there are many more dishes to sample that I can’t comment on yet. As I said, this is a place one wants to see successful.
