Four-Maudies – recommended
This place is close to 5-star for Augusta. Located in a really cool building in downtown Augusta, brick walls, etc. Has a small bar and a few tables, including a couple in what was once a retail store display window platform. It is also one of the few places you can eat outside without starring at a strip mall or Washington Rd. Tons of charm and a great place to people watch (the only place to people watch in Augusta is downtown where all the freaks are (I mean that in a good way).
This is mainly a tapas restaurant, but you can get entrees and salads and such. We always get tapas, around four to six that we share (two of us) and we get full.
Some of my favs are:
- Goatcheese Bruschetta
- Avocado Chop Chop
- Sesame Tuna Tartare
- Crab & Artichoke Dip (with toasted baguettes) – this is to die for
They have one of the best kid’s menu’s I’ve seen (ever seen a kid’s menu with hummus?)
Wait staff are friendly, nice place to relax. Highly recommended.
